I am definately going to do a test-install of tiki-wiki. Tiki-wiki looks as if it could be the cross between cms, groupware and wiki, I am hoping to get my job to use. Especially the calendar/reminder featueres look interresting – if that could be brought to interact with outlook calendar… anyone?

Update:
Tikiwiki is not easy to install! My third attempt was a near miss. Important information for tikiwiki-installers: chmod tikiwiki-dir to 755 or 777 before anything else…

I am beginning to see the light of the wiki – I must have one, I must have one at my job, and I must push wiki-use to at least 3 other people by the end of this year…

No, really. The wiki seems to be the online collaborative tool I should have explored years ago. I’ve been reading articles on corporate wikis, and have even tried to install one myself, although it is not all that out-of-the-box to me.

Oh, the articles:
BusinessWeek: Something Wiki This Way Comes
InformationWeek: How To Use Wikis For Business
…and an article on internal corporate blogging, that also considers use of wiki.

…while writing I am dowloading MediaWiki to do a test installation. Whish me luck.
