Fallout and Lionheart

Being a huge fan of the 3 Fallout-PC games (fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics) I was filled with an instant urge to buy and try Lionheart – a computer Role Playing Game that uses the rules from Fallout 1,2 and Fallout Tactics PC games.

And while we’re at it – there has been rumours about a release of Fallout 3 for a couple af years now, but now Bethesda seems to be carrying the torch…

Update:
I’ve halfheartedly been playing Lionheart the last couple of weeks – it has some interresting twists and turns (casting spells, figthing dragons and such), but I have to follow som of the criticism being laid upon Lionheart:

  • the resolution is too low – 800×600 minus one third for navigation and stuff makes battle and sneaking a bit frustrating.
  • there is too much hacking and slashing – some dungeons just keep on and on, and there are too many mindless monsters to deal with.
