Loose job ends has been tied up – all that is amiss now is cramming the car and taking off.
Will not blog in a couple of weeks unless forced to.
Absolutely not.

Jil Walker has returned from a lengthy trip around the states and opens blogging activities with some interresting thoughts on blogging as a means of networking. According to Jill, quite a few of her professional opportunities can be traced back to her blogging activities – there’s even a reference to blogging being a good training ground for academic activities (read returning to blogging). There’s also a post on whether or not to merge your public, professional and personal blogging.
This post continues the pending plugin post.
I’ve been wanting a plugin for this blog that makes it possible to write in two languages without having to consider whether doc types and other language support is correct.
I’ve found a basic bilingual plugin (here is a working example) – but it is still an alpha version and I am not that much of a techie to enjoy tampering and tinkering with a plugin that may or may not work.
What I am looking for is basically a radio button type of thing that defines whether the post is written in danish or english. If the same plugin would put a little flag/gif near the title, I wouldn’t object to that either.
Being a huge fan of the 3 Fallout-PC games (fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics) I was filled with an instant urge to buy and try Lionheart – a computer Role Playing Game that uses the rules from Fallout 1,2 and Fallout Tactics PC games.
And while we’re at it – there has been rumours about a release of Fallout 3 for a couple af years now, but now Bethesda seems to be carrying the torch…
Update:
I’ve halfheartedly been playing Lionheart the last couple of weeks – it has some interresting twists and turns (casting spells, figthing dragons and such), but I have to follow som of the criticism being laid upon Lionheart:
Well, I cannot say that I am not tempted to experiment with Google Adsense – especially reading two articles labeled blogging for bucks on respectively Wired News and Poynter E-Media.
Although this blog has not undergone any form of search engine optimization (apart from being a wordpress blog, with often updated content), my log files shows a decent flow of visitors from search engines all over the world. I don’t want an ad-blog, but I am not wealthy enough (yet) to ignore a possibility to make a little money on something I like doing.
Mere vil have mere.

Well, scouring the net for a decent referrer script, has brought a couple of plugins to my attention – but considering the facts that it is past midnight, I have still real work to to do, I am getting up tomorrow – I’ll make this a pending plugins list:
Recent links – shows a list of your most recently linked websites. Can be used to generate link blig, link archives and a link rss.
Meta Keywords and Meta description – I’m a bit wary on this plugin, although I’d really like to be able to control metadescription on the individual post’s pages.
The site writingfailure is promoted through a quite unorthodox adwords campaign (lower right corner). The site itself sports the gloomy thoughts of Brooke, a self-concious failure…
