workplace punchpad

Wouldn’t it be cool if:
– you had a puch pad at your workplace. A boxing bag would be nice, but it takes up a lot of space. Instead I suggest an object mounted on the monitor on a spiral or some other flexible material, allowing the object to bob and wave, making it harder to hit with the stick that comes with the whack-a-screen kit. The styles and forms are seemingly unlimited and some considerations on whack-a-screens on CRT versus TFT/LCD screens would be appropriate.
Maybe I should investigate copyright issues if my geniuos continues as untamed as now… ;.)
Tsunami
Since the first news from the catastrophy in Asia, I’ve been stunned by the impact on the poor people down there – My deepest sympathy and condolances to those having lost near and dear ones.
The last couple of nights I’ve been lying awake contemplating the fact that Mette, Linus and I were down there only last year. We travelled the south west coast of Thailand – visiting the Trang Province and the small islands off the coast, Krabi, Phi Phi islands, and Koh Lanta to mention but a few of the affected places. I cannot stop placing myself on one of those beaches, wondering what I would have done? would we have survived at all? The mere thought of loosing Linus and Mette brings tears to my eyes. And every story of orphaned children, widowed people, parents loosing their children, adds to a knot in my stomach that has been tightening ever since the news of the destruction and havoc in Thailand started piling up.

well, I must say I am thrilled that my writing encourages such an extensive comment-activity… I am somewhat puzzled, though, by the fact that seemingly only 2 comments are related to the content of my posts. Instead my comment fields have been befouled with dirty words and invitations to see documantation of sexual activities I did not know existed…
There must be some seriuosly disturbed people out there!
The only good news is that this massive attack on my comment fields made me venture further into the files of this wordpress-installation. Some day I think I might get that graphical text recognizing-hack to prevent robots from spamming me installed.
